Our Beautiful Summer Weddings of 2023
Wow! What a year we’ve had. A huge thank you to all our couples who have chosen Camel Studio for their special day. We thought, as it’s grey and rainy here in Cornwall, we would share some summer inspiration in the form of a collection of some of our stunning summer weddings from last year.
Chelsé & Lee
First up, Chelsé and Lee’s super stylish boho extravaganza. Their wedding for 34 of their nearest and dearest in June, was full of colour and verve. Their outdoor ceremony was beautifully decorated with stunning dried flower arrangements, including two large urns at the top of the aisle. Their tablescape was adorned with pretty apothecary bottles filled with dried daisies, rattan chargers, gold-rimmed grey crockery, complemented with gold cutlery and candlesticks and finished with cream candles. Wedding favours of their favourite sweets, two whicker ‘thrones’ for the bride and groom and a neon sign for the arch completed this stunning look. Acoustic music in the courtyard, an ice cream tricycle, a champagne spray and smoke bombs were just some of the elements that made up this truly fabulous day!
Laurenz & Alix
Married at the end of August, Laurenz and Alix opted for a festival style wedding that focused on their favourite elements of music and vegan food. Alix wore a stunning two-piece, with an embroidered lace top and skirt, whilst Laurenz looked dapper in a simple cream linen shirt, brown trousers, finished with a bowtie. One of their must haves for the day was to go to the beach for some photos. They chose to do a ‘first look’ at Rock Beach, the closest beach to Camel Studio, before the ceremony so that they weren’t rushed for time. Their ceremony was held outside next to our beautiful Ash Tree overlooking the Camel Valley. Alix, who is very creative, did all the flower arrangements including for the arch, bouquets and tables. Lots of textured foliage interspersed with peaches, maroons and pale blue cerated a stunning array of florals. The feasting tables were simple but beautifully dressed with glass apothecary bottles, filled with peach roses and foliage, a collection of vintage plates, linen napkins, hand drawn name tags and sprigs of Rosemary. Their day was filled with music performed by Tom Baker and a selection of accomplished musician friends - one of whom brought his own piano! The evening was spent jamming in the courtyard feasting on pizzas before dancing to their favourite tunes in the studio to finish off their wonderful day!
Kristy & Isabella
The weather sometimes doesn’t go according to plan and this was the case for Kirsty and Isabella who got married in July. But did the rain stop them from having the most wonderful day and capturing the most stunning photographs, no it did not! At Camel Studio, if it’s raining then the ceremony is held inside. The arch is placed in the centre of our large barn doors and so everyone still feels a strong connection to the stunning view of the Camel Valley. The ceremony arch and aisle were decorated with bright blooms. These same decorations were then used for their feasting tables. They also hired a wonderful pianist to play during the ceremony and afterwards for their drinks and canapés. Kristy and Isabella took advantage of going to the River Camel - a stunning beauty spot close to the venue - to enjoy some time for themselves with their photographers. The photos captured joyous moments of them dancing in the rain and standing amongst the majestic fir trees in the forest. Their feast was prepared by Dish Cornwall and dessert was a smorgasbord of their favourite puds including banana split! Later on, guests were put through their paces with a quiz prepared by the bridesmaids before enjoying pizzas, an array of delicious cheese that they had chosen as their cake and dancing to their favourite tunes!
Cleo & Matt
Cleo and Matt were married on the most beautiful day September in front of 50 of their nearest and dearest. The ceremony was held outside in front of an arch adorned with a stunning display of foliage and flowers of burnt oranges, pinks and whites. Cleo had a stunning bouquet, whilst her bridesmaids and flower girls carried pretty wreaths. Chloe’s stunning dress was complemented by the sage green of the bridesmaid’s dresses. These colours were carried through to their table decoration. Sage green cheese cloth runners, wooden blocks with jars filled with reds, oranges, whites and greens, sage green candles, wedding favours of seeds and pretty linen napkins finished this lovely earthy look. One of the many highlights of their wedding was the incredible vegan food, which included colourful canapés, stunning sharing boards and an assortment of delicious desserts. Following their sumptuous feast the couple spent some time at the Camel River to capture some stunning couple’s photos before enjoying an evening of dancing to their live band and pizzas cooked from our converted horsebox.
