CHLOE And ROBBIE’S WONDERFUL SEPTEMBER WEDDING

We recently sat down with Chloe & Robbie to chat about their wonderful September wedding at Camel Studio and how they planned their dream day. Chloe & Robbie tied the knot on our lawn overlooking the Camel Valley surrounded by 22 of their closest family, friends and sausage dog, Casper. They share how they found the venue, highlights from their day, styling inspiration and tips for future couples who have a loved pooch!  We are so delighted to have been a part of their magical weekend, it was truly amazing!

All About Chloe & Robbie’s Big Day 🤍

How did you find Camel Studio?
We originally found Camel Studio on Google, it was one of the first venues we came across and we instantly fell in love! We knew we wanted a small intimate wedding, with a feel of a destination wedding without having the logistics of getting married abroad. In the beginning we wanted to get married in Las Vegas so we knew we wanted some of those fun elements as part of our day - something different and unique.

We loved that Camel Studio has a wonderfully rustic feel with a modern balance that makes it such a beautiful place, and that we can come back to the place we married for years to come! Helen set-up a FaceTime call with us and we booked straight away.

What were you looking for in a wedding venue?
We loved the idea of having an intimate wedding with a small number of our favourite people, we also wanted the freedom to add our very own personal touches such as decor, drinks, choosing our lovely suppliers that matched our style and favourite food!

What were your favourite elements and first impressions of Camel Studio?
The peacefulness of the venue really surprised us when we first viewed the venue, as our initial viewing was via FaceTime. When we arrived the venue was so much more beautiful than we thought! The views over the valley are just amazing. We really loved the Pre-Wedding Supper, it gave us the opportunity to stop decorating, chill and have dinner with our family in the calmness of Camel Studio.

Adding Personal Touches to your Wedding

We decorated the tables ourselves, which was one of the elements we found the hardest to picture and pull together. Initially we had a black and white theme to match our inital Vegas wedding idea, however we trialed it at home and decided it didn’t work so Helen offered us lots of pictures, advice and help. We wanted something that complemented the venue more and the brochure really helped us choose colours that would tie in with the existing decor and beautiful landscape! We went with tones of white, botanical green, touches of pastel, pink and peach for autumnal colours.

Photography and Videography for your Wedding Day

You had an amazing photographer and videographer, can you tell us a little more about heading down to the Camel Valley for photos?  We really really enjoyed taking some time just the two of us to head down to the Camel Valley bridge for our couple’s photos and it’s so close to the venue. Our photographer, Howell Jones was amazing at pulling us away to make sure we got some lovely photos, otherwise we would have just forgot! Howell also shot video and some drone videos for us which we really love, it added more to the imagery and captured the gorgeous landscape. In the video we also were able to see thing you wouldn't normally see like I (Chloe) could see Robbie getting ready in the morning and vice versa.

Dog Chaperone

We had a lovely dog chaperone who stayed onsite with our sausage dog during the day. It was really amazing to have him with us but not have to worry about our friends and family looking after him! It meant we could really enjoy ourselves, but still have him as part of the day. We would totally recommend having a dog chaperone, it is expensive but for us it was totally worth it!

Your Wedding Highlights

What were the highlights of your special day?

We just had the best day, it was so much fun! We had a fantastic musician Marcello and our closest friends and family. Throughout our day although we were in one place, it felt that each part of the wedding had it’s own space, offering another look and feel.

What would be your top tips for couples planning a wedding?

We would highly recommend staying in Camel Studio’s accommodation the night before, it really allowed us to settle in, feel at home, see the beautiful surroundings, have time to set-up and enjoy a delicious Welcome Meal with our closest family.

We would also say maximise Helen and Dave’s knowledge and expertise, they are so helpful, invested and have great ideas that can make your day better!
