Inspiration for Beautiful Summer Weddings At Camel Studio

Summer in Cornwall is always a glorious time of year. The abundant foliage on the trees, the wildflowers in the hedgerows, the birds chirping in the tree tops, and those long summer days make for picture-perfect outdoor weddings.

We thought that we would share some of our beautiful summer weddings that we’ve been lucky enough to host for inspiration.

Amanda and Adam, 1st August 2021

This was a wedding with a punch - full of energy and joie de’vivre. Amanda and Adam’s favorite cocktails were served after the ceremony - Gin Fizz for Amanda and an Amaretto Sour for Adam, which went down very well with their guests. Garden games followed with a spot of rugby thrown in for good measure.

It was very much a hands-on wedding affair and the day before was spent dressing the tables with foliage and the many brass candlesticks that Amanda had collected from antique shops. Pops of yellow from the beautiful sunflowers finished off the summery look for their big day. @philleighway created, by all accounts, the best meal the couple had ever tasted!

The energy flowed through into the evening with rock tunes played to get everyone on the dance floor and then to round off this wonderful day, the couple exited via an arch of sparklers.

Marina & Lewis, 16th July 2022

For the fabulous Marina and Lewis, an alfresco wedding was what they really wanted and the Cornish weather didn’t disappoint! They chose the backdrop of our stunning Ash tree for their ceremony with the low-hanging branches creating a natural arch. And then later, feasting tables were set up on the lawn for a unique outdoor dining experience. With food prepared by the amazing team @dishcornwall you can’t go wrong. The tables were dressed with very pretty vases filled with seasonal flowers grown and designed by @thegardengateflowerco.

In the evening their guests enjoyed our lovely comfy courtyard where they listened to their favorite tunes and feasted on homemade pizzas from our very own pizza horse box before toasting smores around the fire pit together - a perfect end to a perfect day.

If you’re getting married in Cornwall in the summer then sunny weather isn’t always guaranteed but for Penny & Conor, saying their vows outside was a must come rain or shine. Luckily the rain held off just long enough before guests found shelter in the lovely cocktail tent for a glass of bubbly after their beautiful ceremony.

Camel Studio is surrounded by woods and Penny & Conor decided to venture just 5 minutes down the road for a lovely couple’s shoot with the fabulous @veritywestcott. The majestic fir trees created a natural canopy to shelter from the rain.

Then back for a delicious 3-course meal prepared by @angelsinthekitchen atop tables adorned with fresh cut flowers from The Cornish Flower Garden and personalised crystals as wedding favours for each of their guests.

And of course, being summer in Cornwall, the sun came out and guests were able to enjoy the garden and courtyard after the meal and into the evening whilst enjoying toasting marshmallows and feasting on delicious pizza around the fire pit.
